RESOLUTION FOR BETTY S. THOMAS

WHEREAS Mrs. Betty S. Thomas has been the County Administrator for Montgomery County for many years; and

WHEREAS Mrs. Thomas has shown unflagging support for the program and work of the Montgomery County Emergency Assistance Program by her recommendations for the funding of our staff position, her generous provision of access to county resources by our program in our efforts to aid low-income, elderly, and handicapped individuals and families of this county, and in many other ways; and

WHEREAS Mrs. Thomas has announced her retirement effective March 30, 1997;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Montgomery County Emergency Assistance Program, in annual meeting assembled on this, the Seventeenth day of February, A.D. 1997, that Mrs. Thomas be commended for her wisdom, care, and devotion to the people of Montgomery County;

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that we thank Mrs. Thomas for all her efforts in behalf of this program and wish her well in her retirement.
