For over 30 years, the Virginia Tech Faculty Women's Club has granted scholarships to women in undergraduate studies at Virginia Tech. The scholarship amount has grown over the years from $500 to $2,000. This year we plan to award scholarhsips to two female rising seniors.
In 2009 the scholarship funds were endowed with the Community Foundation of the New River Valley. The Foundation will invest the principal to insure a continuing income directed exclusively to our scholarships. The procedure and policies of selection of the award will be exactly the same as in past years and guided by the VTFWC scholarship committee.
The Scholarship Committee of the Virginia Tech Faculty Women's Club has selected Amanda Griffin and Michelle Colandro as our 2011-12 scholarship winners. Each will receive a $2,000 scholarship.
