Supporting the Women’s Club of Radford with “The Kroger Cares Program”

Anyone can support the Women’s Club of Radford by purchasing a $5 Kroger Gift Card from a member.  You can use your card to buy $5 worth of products at Kroger or affiliated stores.

The serial number on your card is linked to the Women’s Club account at Kroger. (Other Kroger gift cards WILL NOT be linked to the Women’s Club unless purchased from a member of the Women’s Club of Radford.)  Please call Nancy Kolb at 540-639-5652 to purchase a card.

To support the Women’s Club on an ongoing basis, add money to your card (“reload” your card) and then use your card each time you shop at Kroger.  Use it at any Kroger or Kroger affiliate across the US, including purchases at Kroger gas stations. You can use the gift card to buy everything Kroger sells, including prescription drugs.  Kroger sends a check for 5% of the money that has been reloaded onto these cards to the Women’s Club of Radford.

You can add money to your card at the Customer Service desk or you can ask a cashier to reload your card before you check out.  Because of Kroger’s Fraud Protection Program, there will be a delay of approximately 5 minutes between the time you reload the card at the Customer Service desk and when you can use it.

You may reload the value of the card up to $500 at any time at any Kroger or Kroger affiliate.  The bearer of the card will be responsible for reloading their card by telling the cashier or customer service clerk that they would like to add money to their gift card, and then paying for that amount.  You can pay with cash, a check, a debit card, or a credit card.

When paying for purchases with your gift card, you still also use your Kroger Plus Card to get Kroger specials.

You receive the same senior discount as you would otherwise receive.  As was the case even before your purchased a Kroger Gift Card, seniors should be sure their Kroger Plus Card has been updated to flag them as a senior.

Kroger Gift Cards function just like cash and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.  The number under the “scratch off” strip is a security code (PIN) that you would be asked if you ever use your gift card over the phone.

As described on the back of your card, you can determine the remaining balance on your card in one of three ways: visit www.gcbalance.com, check your sales receipt, or call 1-866-822-6252.  You need the PIN to check online.

Summary:  Each week (or once a month), when you go to any Kroger, stop at the service desk and reload your card with the amount you usually spend in a week (or month) then simply use your card to pay for your purchases.  Have the satisfaction that you are helping the Women’s Club of Radford every time you reload your card with money.
